Our K–2 fall session kicks off Friday, August 28 — six weeks of after-school sports at Oak Grove School, a different game every Friday. Grades 3–5 — your turn is coming next session.
Our first fall session runs six straight Fridays, August 28 through October 2 — a brand-new sport every week. Sessions meet 3:30–4:30 PM in the Junior High Gym.
Green Oaks Athletic Club is an after-school sports program at Oak Grove School, run by one of the school's own PE teachers — Coach Izenstark. Every week features a different sport, so kids get to try a little of everything.
The club runs in seasonal sessions through the school year. Each session offers a rotating lineup of sports and games, sized and paced so every kid gets an age-right experience.
It's not a competitive league. It's about moving, learning the fundamentals, and having fun with friends after the school day.
Kickball, soccer, "bennis"*, basketball, floor hockey, and capture the flag — a fresh game each Friday.
Every game is sized and paced for kindergarten through 2nd grade, so nobody gets lost in the shuffle.
Budding athlete or just here to run around — every kid fits right in. No experience needed.
Comfortable clothes, athletic shoes, and a water bottle. That's the whole list.
*"Bennis" = baseball played with a tennis racket. A club favorite.
PE teacher at Oak Grove School. Passionate about helping kids discover the joy of movement and build habits that stick for life.
Claim your child's spot by registering and paying the $120 online in one quick step. Spots are limited to 50.
You'll get an emailed receipt right away, and a coach follows up with everything you'll need before the first Friday, August 28.
Kids head straight from class to the gym. A new sport every Friday, all session long.
Not at all. The club is built for all skill levels — whether your child is a budding athlete or just wants to run around after school, they'll fit right in.
A different one every Friday. This fall's K–2 lineup is kickball, soccer, "bennis" (baseball with a tennis racket), basketball, floor hockey, and capture the flag. See the full schedule.
The club runs rain or shine. Depending on the day, a session may be held outdoors or in the Junior High Gym — and if the weather isn't suitable for outside, the gymnasiums are available, so club still meets. It's not cancelled for weather.
It depends on the day and the activity. When the weather's nice, a session may be held outside; when it isn't suitable for outdoors, the school gymnasiums are available so club still meets. Either way, kids are active for the full 3:30–4:30 PM.
Six Fridays, August 28 through October 2, 2026, meeting 3:30–4:30 PM every week. Note: Friday, September 18 is an early-release day at school, but club still meets at the regular 3:30 PM — teachers aren't dismissed early, so the time doesn't change.
$120 for the full six-week session — just $20 a week. You register and pay online by card in one step, right from this site, and you'll get an emailed receipt on the spot. Please note the fee is non-refundable, including for any weeks your child misses.
